To meet the needs of our students for the academic year 2024-2025, we are looking for the following teaching positions:
– Computer Science
– ICT and Robotics Teacher
Requirements:
– A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
– English advanced level (the instruction language in our school is English)
– English native or bilingual level (for the English teaching position)
– IB workshops/courses are an advantage
– Excellent organization, communication and diverse teaching methods
– Integrity, discipline and professionalism
Key objectives of the position:
– to carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school’s policies under the direction of the Principal
– to be an informed, reflective practitioner who uses inquiry based strategies to create positive learning environments, which motivate and challenge all learners in their class to become self-regulated, life-long learners and leaders
Duties and Responsibilities:
– having a working knowledge of teacher’s professional duties and legal liabilities
– operating at all times within the stated policies and practices of the school
– establish effective and appropriate relationships with colleagues and parents
– setting good example through presentation and personal and professional conduct
– co-operating with other staff to ensure a sharing and effective usage of resources to the benefit of the school and learners
– contributing to the corporate life of the school through effective participation in meetings and management systems necessary to coordinate the management of the school
– taking part in marketing and liaison activities such as Open Days and events with other schools
– plan and prepare for the school’s enrichment program and extra-curricular activities
– inform parents through communication notebook or e-mail of pertinent incidents that happen in school
– be responsible for the supervision of the students (before class – morning duty roster, during class hours, at break time and lunch times – lunch duty roster) and carry out any other duties as agreed with the Principal
– provide a stimulating and challenging classroom environment with displays that reflect the
students’ learning
– participate in sharing sessions, in-school training and conferences
– use appropriate resources in class and promote the care and respect for all materials we use in school
